Advisory

To the Honored Candidate,

The Conservative Crew and I would like to propose a policy to benefit and improve the situation of the Afghanistan war. I believe that it would be detrimental to remove all current troops from Afghanistan. If all troops were removed, there would be the risk of the Taliban completely taking over and being in control of the nation. This could jeopardize the safety of all the civilians and would take away the power that the States has over Afghanistan. The United States should remain in their combat zones within Afghanistan to continue to support and train the Afghan troops. Removing the troops would also take away a critical, strategic base for the United States to keep watch on Iraq, other countries that would pose a potential threat to the United States and most importantly, Russia. The United States and NATO countries should create safe-havens for Afghan civilians and invest in building up infrastructure, governance and education. By improving the nation's infrastructure, governance and education, the Afghans would see the United States support, which could lead to the States gaining more trust and relations from the Afghans. Since Pakistan is providing and hosting the Taliban, it would be highly beneficial to create sanctions against Pakistan. By doing so, it would pressurize them from harboring the Taliban and other extremist factions. This policy could be highly beneficial and may be the best option for the Afghanistan war. Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,
Tamah Van Der Merwe
To the Honored Candidate,
I believe that there should be little to no gun control, instead I believe in the universal background checks. With the universal background checks the customer must pass before being able to purchase a firearm. This not only includes store purchases but private sales as well. This background check consists of many questions that help determine whether or not the certain customer is eligible to own a gun. Some of the questions include your race, your drug use, if there's a restraining order against you, if you are convicted of a felony, is you are a wanted criminal, if you are a legal citizen, and many more. Once you have answered these questions, it is electronically sent to the NICS for them to determine if you are eligible for owning a gun. With this policy put in place we would know where most of the guns are since they are recorded. The amount of gun crime would drop drastically since there would be less and less criminals out in the streets with the ability to buy and own a gun. According to many studies, there would be less deaths. All in all, the universal background check would help bring us one step closer to making the United States safer.
Sincerely,
Sofia Galeano
